Torpedo7 Events Update
Even with the impact of COVID, over 2,376 students have participated in regional and national events this year! Regional events have had a strong participation rate, with almost all events selling out.
The 2022 Torpedo7 Hillary Challenge Final Champions are Motueka High, followed by John Paul College and New Plymouth Girls/Boys High taking out third place. The teams train so hard to compete and fundraise to enter the event.
One parent told us that “while we are all continuously blown away by the skill level and mental and physical endurance these athletes show, I am still amazed that they also learn fundraising skills and are truly a part of Hillary Outdoors for a year while they training to get to the regionals and then continue to train and fundraise for the finals”.
Following three months of regional events, the Torpedo7 Get2Go Final is to take place on Aotea Great Barrier Island the week commencing 12th December, and we cannot wait to see more great adventure actions. Good luck to all Torpedo7 Get2Go Finalists.
A special thank you goes to all the participants, team managers, coaches, volunteers, supporters and our staff who continue to give up their time to ensure these events occur. Thank you. We couldn’t run them without you.
