Bronze Adventurous Journey – Tongariro

Create life-long memories tramping in Tongariro National Park, New Zealand’s oldest National Park and a dual World Heritage area. Explore the native bush, bird life, mountain lakes, outstanding volcanic features and places of cultural significance to Māori.
This programme allows participants to complete both their Practice and Qualifying Adventurous Journeys within a single week-long visit.
During the week, participants will:
- Receive additional training and skill development to prepare for their Qualifying Journey
- Complete a Practice Journey to build confidence and competence
- Be supported in planning their Qualifying Journey using detailed route cards
- Undertake a Qualifying Journey, assessed through shadowing by an instructor
- Learn to live and travel self-sufficiently, carrying tents, cookers, food, and essential gear
- Experience and reflect on teamwork, navigation, resilience, and adventure

Cost breakdown
$1,358 – That’s $271.60 per day, including:
