Hillary Outdoors has a range of options for motivated people to join our team, be it through volunteering, an internship, or employment.
We are currently recruiting experienced instructors for the Tongariro centres and will son be advertising for a chef for the new Coromandel centre. There are often opportunities to volunteer or intern with us as well.
We are seeking skilled Outdoor Education Instructors to join our Tongariro team. Our Instructors are our core delivery team at the centre and serve as role models to the rangatahi of Aotearoa who participate in the life changing experiences we offer at Hillary Outdoors. You would be responsible for delivering high-quality secondary school programmes through a variety of activities based on the clients required outcomes.
The successful candidates will manage regular programming with minimal supervision, while also actively supporting and mentoring Developing Instructors.

Volunteering is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills, contribute to a good cause, meet new people and make a difference. We may have opportunities at our Tongariro Centre or at our Auckland Office, or at one of our many Events.
Please note, to volunteer with us you must be over 18 years old, generally commit to a minimum of one month, overseas volunteers must have a valid work visa for NZ as well as medical and travel insurance.
