NavQuest Rogaines

A fun outdoor navigational challenge for everyone to enjoy

NavQuest Rogaines are a fun and healthy way to enjoy an outdoor navigation challenge close to home. They are designed for everyone to have a go and take around 70-90 minutes. You can jog if you’re feeling energetic, wander at an easy pace, or simply enjoy discovering new places as you go. Take part solo, challenge your school mates, head out with the family or use the course as a training session.

These rogaines suit all ages and fitness levels, and you can complete them at any time. You don’t need to be an expert or an athlete to join in; all you need is curiosity and a willingness to give it a go.

Perfect for:

New to the world of rogaines?
The aim is simple: print the course map, then plan your route to collect as many checkpoints as you can within a set time. The checkpoints are worth different scores, and there is no fixed or compulsory route to complete the course. You must choose your own path and decide how to make the most of your time to build the biggest score. Arrive back late, and you’ll lose points, so planning, teamwork and good decision-making all play a role in your success.

Our rogaines use a free smartphone app called MapRun, which works with your phone’s GPS to track your progress, register when you pass each checkpoint, and calculate your final score and any penalties. It even syncs with Strava for those who want to log their adventure!

How to register
Before registering, decide how many people will be taking on the NavQuest Rogaine—are you going solo or teaming up with a group of four schoolmates?

The registration fee is $15 per person. A portion of every entry supports our Hillary Step Scholarship, which helps young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity to access the outdoors. Through this, they can experience the life-changing impact of adventure and create lasting memories with their peers.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive everything you need to get started, including pre-event instructions, your course map, and all the essential details to help you prepare.

Grab some mates, lace up your shoes and head out to explore the outdoors!
