The 2025 Get2Go Final was an unforgettable week of adventure, teamwork, and grit!
Last week, (1–5 December), 96 amazing students from schools nationwide converged on our Tongariro Centre for a high-energy lineup of team challenges, multi-sport racing and an alpine rogaine. Every participant pushed their limits, lifted their teammates, and tackled each day with awesome determination.
What stood out most was the spirit on the course: teams cheering for each other and fellow competitors, and celebrating every success together. That energy and support is what makes Get2Go so special, and this year’s finalists brought it in full force.
About the Get2Go Final
The top team in the Mixed Premier category from each regional event is invited to represent their school and their region in the Final against the very best adventure teams from around the country.
Although the Get2Go Series is all about participation and having fun in the outdoors, there is also a competitive element for schools aiming to earn a place in the Get2Go National Final, held over 5 days in December at one of our awesome Outdoor Education Centres. It is an intense week made up of problem-solving and team challenge activities, plus a 2-day expedition adventure race, which includes an overnight camp with the other teams.
