Adventurer – Tongariro
Join other 13-16-year-olds for a fun, multi-pursuit outdoor adventure! It’s all about meeting new people, building confidence, learning new skills and expanding your comfort zone in a safe and supported environment. Sign up solo (most do!) or get a friend to join you.
There is no fixed schedule; you build your programme together! With your team and instructor, you’ll help shape the week around your goals, your group, and the weather. The week starts with day trips to build your skills and confidence, and ends with an overnight expedition: hiking, paddling, or navigating to a remote campsite. You’ll cook outdoors, sleep under the stars, share stories, and connect with nature.

Cost breakdown
$1,408 – That’s $281.60 per day, including:
- 7 hours of adventure daily
- 4 nights’ accommodation
- Nutritious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners (from arrival to departure)
