Kayak Rolling Pool

The Kayak rolling pool was opened in 2004 and is designed especially for kayak rolling and flat water kayak skills sessions.

The indoor pool measures 25m by 7m.

The pool is designated as a ‘school pool’, and as such, there are strict policies and procedures to be adhered to. The pool was made possible by generous grants from the Lottery Grants Board, Trust Waikato, and the J.R. McKenzie Trust.

The Resource Centre (RC)

This building houses the gear department stores where most of our activity equipment is kept. The gear department is run by our Resource Officer who is responsible for checking and looking after the gear. Inside the RC there is a large open space where groups can collect together, ‘gear up’ and get organised for the day’s activities.

There is an indoor climbing wall at one end of the building and a bouldering wall at the other, plus a large drying room and changing rooms with toilet and shower facilities. Outside is storage for canoes and kayaks as well as facilities for groups to clean up their activity gear prior to handing it in.
