Torpedo7 Events Update

A highlight of our Events year is the Torpedo7 Get2Go Final, and the 2022 final did not disappoint.  Scheduled across five days on Aotea Great Barrier Island, we had nearly 100 participants from 12 regions competing to be crowned 2022 Torpedo7 Get2Go Winners.

In testing conditions, the teams set out against the best adventure teams from around the country, participating in a number of problem-solving and team activities across the island.  From land to the water, there wasn’t much of Great Barrier untouched as teams scaled heights rock climbing and on the high ropes, racing to see which team could complete all challenges as quickly as possible.

We are so proud of every competitor who, despite adverse weather at times, persevered and showed resilience as we tested their leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and adventure racing skills.

After an epic five days of action, there could only be one winner, with the New Plymouth Girls/Boys team taking the honours.

We have to thank all of the coaches, volunteers and supporters who make these events successful, we couldn’t run them without your support!

Final placing were as follows: New Plymouth Girls/Boys; Wakatipu High; Taradale High; Onslow College; Waikato Dio/St Pauls; Middleton Grange; Whakatane High;  Whangarei Girls/Boys; Motueka High; Westlake Girls/Boys; Epsom Girls/Rosmini; Columba/John McGlashan.
